Congratulations on Getting Married!
He answered, “have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh, so they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate” (Matthew 19:4-6).
If you are getting married and would like to use our church for your wedding, there is a wedding fee of $500.00. A 50% deposit towards the wedding fee is due at the time of confirming your wedding date. The remaining 50% of the wedding fee is due one week before the wedding. The $500.00 includes use of the church and sound equipment. You are welcome to bring your own music and we will play it for you during the wedding ceremony. If you do not have a musician to play at the wedding or at the reception, we will do our best in helping you find someone, if our musician is not available. A fee will apply for using one of our musicians ($75 and up). Tower of Power ministers does not charge for officiating a ceremony for our members, however, it is appropriate for the wedding couple to offer a donation to the presiding pastor. Couples getting married typically pay anywhere from $75.00 to $200.00, according to their ability.
Scheduling Your Wedding Day
Weddings and rehearsals may not be scheduled on Easter weekend, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the day and week following Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
Choosing a Pastor
Tower of Power members and others who wish to be married in our worship center may invite one of our pastors to perform the wedding ceremony. Please let us know if you need a list of our pastors to help you decide who will perform your ceremony. As a couple, you must agree to attend pre-marital counseling as set forth by the officiating pastor. An appointment with the desired pastor needs to be made to request his services and arrange a mutually agreeable date. Do not establish a firm wedding date without consulting the officiating pastor. Part of the counseling process with the officiating pastor will involve choosing the order of service, the vows, ring ceremony, and etc. Additional, pre-marital counseling or suggested readings may be required by the pastor. This will vary depending on who is performing the ceremony.
Finalizing Your Wedding Plans
One month prior to your wedding, our office administrator will meet with you to discuss final details, including ceremony specifics, decorations, and production needs. In addition, we ask that you use no drip/wax candles in the main sanctuary. If you would like to have your wedding at our church, complete the form below. Include a short description of what you need.
